Machinery Reliability Audits
Why wait for a failure to happen? McNally-LLC can conduct a machinery reliability audit review of existing turbomachinery to identify areas of improvement and strength and determine whether the machines are protected and properly managed. The audit is a 2-3-day exercise in which the design and all the aspects relevant to the life cycle management of the equipment, including all the management systems required, are reviewed and benchmarked against best in class industry practices. The results will include a list of recommendations in how to improve or continue building on the strengths found taking in consideration a 25 year life expectancy with the lowest life cycle cost of operation.
Benefits:
- Identifying areas of improvement
- Identification of risks and list of mitigations
- Better planning for future investment
- Design review from experienced reliability-minded engineers
- Modernization plan including scopes of work and pricing
- Complying with legal and regulatory requirements
Machinery Design Audits
A machinery design audit is a rigorous analysis of an OEM’s design and manufacturing process to determine if there are fundamental issues that were missed by the OEM’s design engineering staff. These audits usually involve experienced third-party engineers (in this case MCNALLY LLC) or technical personnel that are familiar with the OEM’s design and operating experience. We will be your eyes and ears to ensure new equipment being purchased or existing equipment being revamped do not come with design flaws that will result in chronic downtime and financial losses.
Benefits:
- Ensure OEM’s understanding and compliance to specifications
- Identification of risks and list of mitigations
- Prevent commissioning and startup delays
- Performance and energy optimization of equipment before manufacturing
- Opportunity to eliminate maintenance intensive designs
- Opportunity to introduce changes to improve reliability and optimize life cycle cost
